We ate outside on the patio. It was an absolutely beautiful night. The patio is a very nice open space with plenty of shade from the sun. Beautiful lights came on under the awning once it was dark. We tried the Autumn margarita. Sweet baby Jesus that thing was amazing. I'm a huge fan of a strawberry margarita so I tried that as well it was very very good and so pretty. Also on special on Friday night. The free chips and salsa are abundant and the salsa is just like I like it No chunky with a great flavor. We started out with seafood nachos and a small queso. The queso is very good with a smoky flavor. The seafood nachos are laid out almost tostada style. That crab and shrimp mix is absolutely amazing. Next time I'm going to try it in the enchilada. My hubby got the biscuits and gravy side for an appetizer because he just had to know what that tasted like. Jalapeno cheddar biscuits are right up his alley. He said the gravy was really good too. I'm a firm no on buttermilk biscuits so that was a no for me but he really loved it. We got a double decker taco also known as the hero shell here at humble taco. The ground beef was very good, the shredded cheddar was obviously hand shredded and very fresh. So good. Our server did an amazing job explaining everything. The service was good, the food was fast and hot and very fresh. There were so many things we wanted to try and we just couldn't fit it in. One of these days I'm going to start with dessert. That key lime cheesecake chimichanga is right up my alley.
So glad to have found this taco place. Our new favorite taco bar. Been here two days in a row. I had their veggie tacos: fried avocado, and weekly special veggie taco (first day it was bbq cauliflower and next day it changed to zucchini). All 3 were yum-mazing! Husband had the No B.S. and Crazy hot chick and absolutely loved both. Friend had chicken fajitas and enjoyed it too. Their margaritas are mmm mmm mmmmmm! Want to give a shout-out to our hostess Allison B. (Had such great service after a long time). Thank you to Colt and Johnny (owners) for checking on us. Can't wait to come back soon
This place is SO GOOD! I didn't expect much from the sign and location, but Humble Taco is seriously setting itself apart from the pack. Their house lime tortilla chips are incredible, as are all the dips that come with. On your first visit, you even get a complementary order of the house chips as well as the house queso and fresh made guacamole. Tacos were awesome, and they were absolutely stuffed full of goodness. I would order two next time and eat even more chips. My favorite taco was the Hot Girl - spicy, fresh, and topped in good sauce. The margaritas are awesome, just try any one and you'll be happy. This will definitely be my new south site taco joint.
We stopped here on a Friday night because they advertised outdoor seating, and the place was packed, with NO social distancing indoors! We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on the patio, but at least the weather was nice and we were outside. The Blood Orange margarita was calling my name and Hubby had his usual unsweetened iced tea with LOTS of lemon. They offer an extensive selection of tacos, but I had been craving a seafood enchilada in the style of a now-closed Mexican restaurant chain popular in the 80's and 90's. Hubby ordered the fajitas with a rice and beans combination on the side. The seafood enchilada was exactly what I had been wanting, although larger than I expected, and I ordered street corn for my side. Both were delicious and satisfied my craving. The combo rice and beans with Hubby's fajitas was different, but tasty, and the fajitas were exactly what he wanted. We had good service, great food, a good time, and recommended Humble Taco to my son and his family who live nearby.
Great atmosphere, great staff, great food and great prices. What else can you ask for in a local Mexican restaurant. Unique tequila drinks that are all great. Love to mix and match the tacos and the queso is great. It's free if you have a Center Grove card.
